What If I Need Floor Preparation Without Installation?
If you only need an assessment or preparation work, ask about that scope on its own: see flooring demolition and removal and subfloor repair and levelling. Before a replacement floor goes down we can remove the existing flooring and assess the subfloor, and the work may include localized repairs, re-screwing, gluing and screwing new subfloor material, or levelling.
How Can Furniture Be Moved Out Of The Work Area And Put Back?
Ask about arranging professional movers to clear the work area and put items back afterwards, or handle the room clearance yourself. Moving is optional and has a separate cost; it is not automatically included in the flooring work.
Which Surfaces Can Be Protected During The Work?
Ask about protection for floors, carpets and stairs while work is taking place. Include the areas you want covered when discussing the job so floor protection can be considered alongside the installation or repair work.
What Door Work Can Be Discussed Alongside The Flooring Project?
New Era can install baseboards and shoe moulding, hang doors and carry out related trim work. Plan the edges of the room as well as the floor, and include the trim items that are part of the agreed job.
How Is Painting New Trim Handled Compared With Wider Wall Painting?
Caulking, painting and finishing new trim can be included in New Era's trim work. For wider painting work, ask about coordinating with a separate painting company. Wall painting should be discussed as its own arrangement rather than assumed to be part of the flooring installation.
How Does Routine Work Area Cleanup Differ From A Separate Deep Clean?
We tidy and vacuum the flooring work area at the end of the job. If you want a more extensive clean of the home, ask about a separate post-construction or deep-cleaning arrangement. The rooms, surfaces and additional cost should be discussed as their own scope.
