Tile waterproofing and heated floors in Ottawa

Tile is only as dependable as the layers under it. New Era Flooring installs Schluter membranes, including the KERDI system, to waterproof tile, uncoupling membranes under tile floors, and heated floor systems under tile. When a heated floor needs wiring, an electrician we work with hooks it up.

Waterproofing with Schluter KERDI

In wet areas, a waterproofing membrane goes under the tile so water does not reach the subfloor. We install Schluter systems, including KERDI. Membrane work is part of every tile job where it is needed, and you can also ask for it on its own.

Uncoupling membranes under tile floors

After old tile is removed and the subfloor is prepared, we install an uncoupling membrane before the new tile goes down.

Heated floors under tile

We install heated flooring systems under tile. When the system needs to be connected to power, an electrician we work with makes the connection, so you do not have to find one yourself.

Bathrooms: one company coordinating the trades

A bathroom floor often involves more than tile. Our plumber can disconnect fixtures and hook them back up, including moving them to new locations, and our electrician handles the heated floor. We book them and deal with the scheduling.

If you already have trades you trust, we are happy to work alongside them.

One call covers the whole job. You can hand it all to us, or keep the parts you would rather handle yourself.

Call or send the quote form. We come out, look at the floor and what is under it, and give you a price for the work you want.

Clear the rooms your way

Move the furniture yourself, or ask us to book the professional movers we work with. They photograph each room, move everything to another room, the driveway or a storage pod, and put it back where it was. Moving is optional and priced separately.

We do the work

Floors, carpets and stairs that are staying can be covered while we work. If the job needs an electrician or a plumber, we bring in trades we work with, or work alongside yours.

Clean up and move back in

We tidy and vacuum the work area when we finish. If you want the whole home cleaned before you settle back in, ask about a deep clean, priced separately.
