Sometimes one wall or one ceiling detail changes how a whole room feels. New Era Flooring builds accent walls in shiplap, reclaimed lumber and barn wood, adds faux beams, hangs live edge shelves and installs wainscoting. Pick the look you want and we build it.

Accent wall styles we build

Shiplap gives clean horizontal lines. Reclaimed lumber and barn wood bring texture and colour variation. Wainscoting adds panelling to the lower part of a wall and pairs well with new baseboards. If you have a photo of a wall you like, send it with your quote request.

Faux beams

Faux beams add the look of heavy timber to a ceiling without structural work. We have built them in homes, including a kitchen renovation in our portfolio.

Live edge shelves

A live edge shelf keeps the natural edge of the board. It works on its own or as part of a feature wall.

Planning a wall with a new floor

If the room is getting a new floor as well, we plan the wall and the floor together so the wood tones work side by side and the trim ties them in.

One call covers the whole job. You can hand it all to us, or keep the parts you would rather handle yourself.

Call or send the quote form. We come out, look at the floor and what is under it, and give you a price for the work you want.

Clear the rooms your way

Move the furniture yourself, or ask us to book the professional movers we work with. They photograph each room, move everything to another room, the driveway or a storage pod, and put it back where it was. Moving is optional and priced separately.

We do the work

Floors, carpets and stairs that are staying can be covered while we work. If the job needs an electrician or a plumber, we bring in trades we work with, or work alongside yours.

Clean up and move back in

We tidy and vacuum the work area when we finish. If you want the whole home cleaned before you settle back in, ask about a deep clean, priced separately.

Each step beyond the flooring work is optional and quoted on its own.
